- 4 calculation methods
- Calculated automatically every month
- Teachers see their own pay themselves
Why does calculating teacher salaries by hand lead to mistakes?
Manual calculation repeated every month is the most common source of errors and disputes.
Percentage calculations are easy to get wrong by hand
Calculating each group's revenue separately and working out the percentage is very error-prone once you have several teachers.
Recalculating every month takes time
At month end the administrator has to sit for hours with a calculator for every teacher.
Teachers don't understand their pay
If the calculation isn't transparent, teachers start to doubt and distrust it: "was it calculated correctly?"
Different methods for different groups — more confusion
When one teacher is paid by percentage and another a fixed amount, tracking it by hand becomes even harder.
How salaries are calculated in OneRoom
Four ready-made methods — choose the one that matches your center's policy.
Percentage of revenue

A fixed amount is paid every month, regardless of the number of students.
Per-lesson pay
A set amount is automatically calculated for every lesson held (with attendance marked).
Per-student share
A set amount is automatically added for every active student in the group.

Yes. You set the calculation method for each teacher once — after that the system calculates the salary automatically every month, so there is no need to sit with a calculator.
There are four: percentage of revenue (a set percentage of the payments received by the group), fixed salary (a set amount), per-lesson pay (for each lesson held) and per-student share (a set amount for each active student).
Each teacher can see their current calculation method, the amount for the current month and the history of previous months in their personal account at any time — this increases transparency and reduces distrust.
Yes, a separate method and rate is set for each teacher — for example, percentage for one and per-lesson pay for another.
With the per-lesson method only lessons with attendance marked — that is, actually held — are counted; no pay is calculated for a lesson that did not take place.
